It’s so much fun being a newborn photographer, but every once in a while, it’s fun to take a break from that and interact with these cute little chubby things that don’t know how to NOT be hams for the camera. Zander is about as adorable as they come, but even more adorable? How much his mommy and daddy love him! I still have the “Who’s the Best Baby in The Whole Wide World” song stuck in my head they were singing the entire time! So cute. Just look at how this family oozes love……sigh…..

Sweet little Tully – 5 weeks old here. She did great for being her age – usually I see newborns between the ages of 5 – 14 days. I was up for the challenge of working with an “older” newborn that day – but I was pleasantly surprised when she really didn’t give me a hard time at all! She let me use all sorts of fun props, without hardly a peep! Such a good girl!! Thanks to her mama for bringing her in to see me – I’m so glad we were able to squeeze her in before she really was too old!

Meet Amelia – a little peanut I’ve been very excited to meet for quite some time now. She happens to be my BFF’s new little niece, and the daughter of two of my of fellow high school alumni. Not only is Amelia a stunning little baby girl, she was really quite fun to work with! She even brought along a fancy little prop I’ve never worked with before. The girl already is rockin’ some bling! Her grandpa is a jeweler – and he made her her very first diamond ring.

D & J – congrats on a GORGEOUS baby girl, with possibly the most beautiful name I’ve ever heard in my whole life. And thank you so much for bringing her in to see me. Oh my, Miss A was quite fun to work with! Even at  just two weeks – her personality was already shining through! I have a feeling she’s going to be quite a curious little girl – most babies her age are still too busy sleeping to care about what’s going on in the world around them. But not her! When she was awake – she stayed that way, all bright eyed and busy tailed….for quite some time! Auntie Awesome finally took over, and got her nice and sleepy for me! Such a gorgeous little thing! Just look at her crazy long lashes – unbelievable!!

It never ceases to amaze me how much babies change in the first year -  Miss Lauren was certainly no exception. It’s been a few months since her newborn session and her mama and daddy wanted to get some family portraits now that she’s getting bigger. After a record number of reschedules, due to lovely Seattle weather, we finally decided to show the weather who’s boss by going against what the weather man was telling us. And you know what? The rain held off till the very last minute we were done! Thanks J & M for bringing your baby back to see me again!!
