There are times in this journey through photography that I really feel blessed to do what I do. I get to meet the most incredible people and be with them during some of the most joyous times in thier lives! This session was certainly no exception! I’ve worked with this family for going on 3 years, and I’ve captured them going from a family of 2 to 3, and then 3 to 4. Absolutley adore this family – and even more so now that Julia has joined! K – hangin’ with you is just like hangin’ with some of my oldest friends! I {heart} you!!!

Meet Landon…5 days old. He was beyond good for me. Sooo sleepy and super bendy… and he even gave me a few smiles! I wish they were all as easy as he was. This session was particularly fun because it was a bit of a high school reunion! Landon’s mama and I went to school together, and we invited a couple more of our old friends to come and help! We were laughing it up the whole time – and Landon slept through it all. Such a good little guy…and handsome too!
One of my favorite families to work with came to see me again a couple weeks ago. I’ve been working with them since Little J (below) was still in his mommy’s tummy. Now he’s 2 and about to be a big brother to a baby sister! He’s gonna take real good care of her, I can tell. It’s always so fun to watch families grow, and it makes it even more fun when the families look as great as this one. K – if I didn’t love you so much, I might have to hate you for having the cutest preggo body out there!

Happy 2010! My first session of the year – and boy, was it FUN! Not only did I get my hands on some newborn twins…they were both girls! I swear, I’ve been on a newborn boy streak…well, pretty much since I opened for business. Needless to say, I was just a little bit excited to work with these two!
Meet Ashlynne and Emmie, 5 weeks old here. I usually prefer to do newborn sessions much earlier than 5 weeks, but the girls were born a bit early and Emmie had to spend some time in the hospital before she could make the trip up here from Portland to be a supermodel for the day. Thanks K & J for making the trip up – it was wonderful to finally meet you guys!

I cannot believe that I didn’t post a single thing all summer long – and now here we are into fall and I’m feeling a wee bit guilty. I’m so sorry my sweet little blog. I’ll do better. I promise. This summer was all sorts of fun – I did some really exciting things, some of which I plan to blog about….later. For now, I’ll show off this little sneak peek of a more recent session. This family is always super fun… and more importantly, undeniably CUTE! Take a look at these sweet babies - aren’t they adorable?
This is the second time I’ve done a maternity session for this family – I just saw them a little less than 2 years ago! Last time I saw soon to be big brother Lucian – he was just a teeny little newborn himself. He’s growing quick and getting ready to take on his role as big brother, any day now. Baby brother is scheduled to be born very soon - and I can’t wait to meet him!

I got so lucky on Saturday to get my hands on this little guy – he was only 3 days old! And I’ll tell you what – he really didn’t want to sleep for me all that much, but in the end I think I finally wore him out. He was perfectly content to be bright eyed, checking this this whole new world. He was a really mellow little fellow….just wasn’t super sleepy for me This first picture really shows how he was for us for a good portion of the session. He was making direct eye contact left and right – which I don’t see very often it little one’s his age. I think I finally tired him out and was able to get a couple of good sleep stretches out of him – and it was well worth the wait. Isn’t he adorable? I love his cheeks! Congrats Mama and Daddy – you guys make CUTE babies!

I mean, seriously….How perfect is this little guy?! Not only is he adorable, he was an absolute angel the entire session – super easy to work with…and look at his blonde fuzz on top of his head, I love it! Thanks you guys for bringing him in, I had fun working with him – I wish they could all be as easy as he was! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Miss Em came to see me again – this time outside and it was super fun! When she smiles, her whole face lights up! She’s going through just a teeny bit of “mama walking out of her sight” anxiety, but even when she has a boo-boo face, she’s adorable! This was another super fun outdoor session. I’m loving these now that the weather is getting better!
